Additive Manufacturing for medical applications

A 3DMED consortium conference

About this Event

3DMED kindly invites you to a conference highlighting the potential of Additive Manufacturing for Medical applications. The event gives an overview of the current state of affairs, practical cases and a sneak preview of the (near) future.

Additive Manufacturing is well-established in the medical field – with applications ranging from Class I to Class III. However, there is still a huge potential awaiting us; several hurdles – technological, regulatory or organisational – hamper the full use of the available technologies. 3DMED invites you to, during this event, explore the solutions that are existing or under development, and discuss these topics during the networking lunch and afterwards, at the RapidPro fair – a 3D Delta Week event.

Why should you attend?

  • Get information on the latest and future options on Additive Manufacturing (AM) for Medical applications.
  • Stay updated on some specific breakthroughs on the crossroads of AM and Medical application.
  • Network with experts in both the medical and AM field.
  • Source potential (research, development, AM,…) partners.

Who should attend?

  • Medical practitioners / professionals

(Bioengineers; Biomedical Engineers; Clinical Data Scientists; Compliance Officers; Consultants; Contractors/Subcontractors; Dental Labs; Dentists; Doctors; Laboratory Personnel; Manufacturing; Medical Engineers; Medical Scientists; Pharmacists; Preclinical; QA/QC; Regulating bodies; Research Institutes; Surgeons; …)

  • People active in the Additive Manufacturing industry

About 3DMED

3D printing (3DP) technologies carry the promise of revolutionizing the quality and efficiency of healthcare. However, the required technologies, even when available, are currently too fragmented to be integrated into routine, affordable and streamlined solutions that can benefit a large number of patients.

Therefore, 3DMed aims to improve the affordability and large-scale accessibility of medical treatment using 3D printed devices. Top universities and innovative companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the UK join forces in an unprecedented exercise to explore the full potential of the 3D printing technology for advanced medical care.

Supported By The European Regional Development Fund: This project has received funding from the Interreg 2 Seas programme 2014-2020 co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund under subsidy contract No 2S04-014_3DMed.

With the project 3DMed, Flam3D wants to contribute to innovation in medical care.
